Liam Amrose is a current employee of the Department of National Security, working as one of their agents to prevent potentially disastrous events.  He is a strong believer in the power of justice and equality for all individuals, regardless of their differences.  Seen by some as incorruptible, because he hardly breaks rules or would do something to hamper the freedoms and rights of citizens.  He hails from the No-Maj world, and is a first generation wizard.  It has not been an easy journey for him, but he has made it to the work force.  He is not an outgoing person that makes his presence known, but prefers to be quiet and watch people.  While he can switch roles depending on situations, he prefers the quiet life.  He is an advocate of one day having the Statute of Secrecy abolished, because he believes magic can be used to help No-Majs, just as technology can help wizardkind.  His goal in life make sure that there is a possible future for a peaceful revelation to happen.  In his personal life, he is quiet and often forgets to keep up with friends/acquaintances, but he never forgets them.  He tries to keep his work a secret, though he will mention that he works as a No-Maj analyst with the Department of National Security. Liam is a rather slow person to make friends.  While he can make acquaintances rather quickly, friends he needs more time for.  His idea of a friend is someone that he can count on for help at any time.  The same would be true for him of course.  If a friend needed help, all they need do is say something and he will do whatever he can to help.  While appearing quiet at times, his friends would know that he is not.  He likes to support his friends in what they do, and is willing to help them if they find themselves in a bad spot.  He tries not to be too friendly with his fellow agents, keeping a barrier between them.  This is not to say that he would not befriend anyone, just he might be more on edge, since he would not want to disturb his work/life balance.  Unless they also work in the upper levels of the Department of National Security, Liam tries his best to hide his real job from friends, since the last thing he would want is for them to be used against him in the future.[break][break]

While Liam is far more selective among his friends, he has far less criteria for acquaintances. He may not remember people’s names after their first meeting, but he will remember their faces. He spends most of his time in the Parliament building unless he is on an assignment which would require him to do more than just investigative work. He may know a few people from within Parliament on a daily schedule, whether they arrive at the same time/same transport, etc. Most of his coworkers would fit into this category. This does not mean acquaintances are worthless to him. Unless proven otherwise, Liam will still treat acquaintances the same as friends. If someone asks for his help, he will most likely give it. Liam has made zero progress down the road of romance. While there has not been a literal stop sign, preventing him from this, he has chosen to pursue other goals. He never dated during his time at Hollow Creek, though he had his fair share of crushes that would change from time to time. The first time he dated someone was during his work in Russia when he dated a colleague from the Embassy staff. After his recruitment into the Department of National Security, he broke up her and focused on work. Love life has always been secondary to him, as he prefers the company of his friends. This does not mean he is not looking, just he will be generally awkward. That and the whole “What do you do?” question being the bane of his existence. [break][break]

Mickey && Liam

Since the both of them are employed by Magical Parliament, the chances are that they would run into one another at some point in time. But as they work for different departments and Mickey is still currently a trainee, their interactions might be minimal at best for the time being. My best suggestion might be that Liam is looking between the Hit Wizard and Auror areas for potential recruits? Since we all know you don't get just a job in the Department of National Defense right out of school.

My healer! There's always a chance that she has patched him up at some point in time, and they are a little closer in age. So perhaps they have a friendship of sorts?

Liam & Mickey

I like this idea! I was thinking about how to get some reactions between characters, and this seems like a fun thing to plan out! I prepared written plot idea yesterday but failed to type it up, so here is what I had for Mickey. Basically, since there are times National Security would definitely not share info with Law Enforcement, maybe in the future there is an undercover thing, and during some point of it, a place gets raided with Liam getting arrested etc. With the addition of your idea, maybe that leads to him no longer in the field and so he is focused on the recruitment of potential agents/assets?

I was thinking the same, like from the platonic section of Kate's plotter. Again, what I had written, but failed to type up, was that maybe they passingly knew each other at Hollow Creek (because Liam is a few years higher). He would be known though since he was a Prefect during his years there (kinda like everyone knows the RAs in their dorm, but may never speak with them). But maybe recently they started getting into a friendship? I was planning on replying to Kate's open (Give me a night filled with stars) if that helps with a potential start to this?

Aurora and @liam:

Aurora is my 30 year old Ignus DADA professor and former Auror. If she has been working around the Ministry for a time she would have known Liam. Hell these two would have known each other since they are both Ignus alumni. With the age cap of 3 years that would be a possibility. Either way, after losing her sister Aurora had a rough time and left the Ministry. So either he might have heard or know it, or he didn't know. It is a possibility. Either way I could see these two as friends or even great friends that kept in contact with each other after all those years, or if you want to go a different way. Start to have contact with each other again after a long time. I am up for anything with these two.
